The State of Digital Communications 2020

3D printed food, Virtual Reality and sustainability

Building on last year’s digital reception, we will be tackling food waste in a creative way: guests will enjoy 3D printed food, bringing forgotten vegetables to plates. The food will take the shape of the event hashtag #StateofDigi. Here you can get a preview.

We are also getting practical about Virtual Reality: attendees will have the opportunity to embark on a digital adventure and take a ride with the ICAROS VR Experience

Moreover, ETNO will be rewarding the attendees commuting to the venue by public and sustainable means of transport (including tram, bus, metro, and shared scooters, e-scooters and bikes) with a sustainable water bottle. In order to claim it, attendees need to show their transport tickets or e-receipts at the registration stand.

At the event, we will be welcoming speakers from the Croatian EU Presidency, European Parliament, BEUC, Analysys Mason, Telenor, Telefónica, Vodafone Group, Amazon and ETNO. The event will be moderated by Frances Robinson, Journalist.

President von der leyen at 50th world economic forum

Ursula von der Leyen was part of the 50th World Economic Forum's opening ceremony this week in Davos. Von der Leyen pays tribute to the economic model with a sense of social responsibility championed by the founder of the WEF, Klaus Schwab.

A look is taken back at the origin of the discussion of the moral implications of globalisation, with von der Leyen maintaining that a 'sustainable economic system is possible' and that 'we can reconcile our economy with our planet.' She points out that sustainable progress and peace is not possible without common action.
