The case for a stronger EU - US partnership

2021 has marked a shift in EU - US technology relations. Despite geopolitical headwinds, there is a stronger spirit of collaboration: on everything from semiconductors to automotive, from 5G to green tech. And the launch this autumn of the new Trade & Technology Council (TTC) will bring Europe and the US closer to strategic alignment.

5G in Europe: from FAQs to how it can make a difference for local communities

There are still some unanswered questions about 5G when we step out of the EU capitals: what is 5G and what does it bring for local communities? What are the facts, myths, and fears? Where does 5G already make a difference for regions in Europe? Meet the 5G Guide for Local Communities, presented by ETNO and the GSMA.

The guide gathers factual information on 5G drawn from national and international health authorities as well as insights from top economic studies. In addition, it provides concrete inspiration and examples on the use of 5G technology in nine European countries, ranging from precision ship construction in Spain to smart universities in Estonia.

The guide comes as 5G is already commercially available in 30 European countries, from almost 84 operators. The guide has been made available already in 4 languages (EN, FR, IT, ES,) and will be soon released in several other European languages.
