European operators renew support to keep Ukrainian refugees connected
Last week ETNO signed a new statement to prolong the voluntary measures that have been supporting Ukrainian refugees to have affordable access to connectivity, use roaming at discounted prices or free of charge, and make international calls at lower rates.
Almost 1 year since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, European telecom operators continue to show commitment in supporting Ukrainian refugees to stay connected with their families and loved ones. There are now more than 4 million Ukrainian refugees who have benefited from the announced voluntary measures adopted.

How does Europe progress on achieving the 2030 Digital Decade targets on connectivity?
Last week ETNO hosted a webinar to present the findings of the State of Digital Communications 2023 report. The lead author of the report, Rupert Wood, Analysys Mason, led the presentation and was joined by Renate Nikolay, Deputy Director General at DG-CNECT, who commented on the findings of the report and answered questions from the remote audience.
