TOTAL TELECOM INTERVIEWS MAARIT PALOVIRTA

In an interview with Total Telecom's Harry Baldock, Maarit Palovirta highlights the efforts by European telecom operators to keep narrowing the gap on connectivity at a global level.

Maarit also discusses how changes to the regulatory environment are necessary for the consolidation of our sector and how to ensure fair conditions for all the different stakeholders in the internet ecosystem.

 STATE OF DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS REPORT PRESENTATION AT THE EUROPEAN 5G CONFERENCE

The main findings of the report will be unveiled by our Board Chairman Steven Tas at the session taking place on 30 January from 11:30 to 12:50 CET. Steven will present the main key facts and figures on the connectivity sector in Europe. From figures on 5G and FTTH coverage, investments in digital infrastructure and IoT connections in various sectors to Open RAN trials and developments, 5G standalone networks, greener networks and green enabling solutions, among others.

A panel debate featuring the views of Carlota Reyners Fontana (DG COMP, European Commission), Alin Mituța (MEP), Ben Wreschner (Vodafone Group) and Maarit Palovirta (ETNO) will follow the presentation of the report. Jillian Deutsch (European Tech Reporter, Bloomberg) will moderate the debate.
