Today, our DG Lise Fuhr highlighted three important principles we follow when working with policymakers at the panel debate on ‘Building Bridges – Associations & EU Policymaking’ at the ESAE - European Society of Association Executives Summit and Awards:
📌 Always be honest and transparent about who we represent
📌 Avoid certain lobbying practices -regardless if others do it-, such as astroturfing or hiding who pays for academic studies
📌 Advocacy cannot be a one-way street: think ‘Team Europe’. We must do our part as corporate citizens: we have done so during COVID-19 or against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and now by supporting the #UseYourVote campaign on the EU elections

Last Friday, we held our Centenary meeting: a unique gathering of celebration, gratitude and excitement, in which we shared the keys to building the Telefónica of the coming years. We focus on the present, looking to an exciting future, with new networks, new rules and a shared purpose to build the @Telefonica of the next 100 years. And we will not fail because we love our job. And this is our moment.
